Bloodlust Magazine Submissions

Submission Guidelines/Liability:

Poetry: You may submit up to 5 poems in one poetry submission. All poetry submissions should be in .PDF or .DOCX format.

Fiction: You may submit one piece of flash fiction/short fiction (~1000-2000 words) per submission. All fiction submissions should be in .PDF or .DOCX format.

Visual Art: You may submit up to 5 images per submission in .PNG or .JPG format.

All submissions should include a short, third-person bio and any social media handles for promotion (Instagram, TikTok, website, etc.).

By submitting to Bloodlust Magazine, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  • Editorial Rights: Bloodlust Magazine reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to accepted work for clarity, house style, or formatting purposes, in accordance with our literary and stylistic guidelines. Any major edits will be discussed with the author prior to publication.
  • Simultaneous Submissions: We welcome simultaneous submissions, but we do not accept work that has been previously published elsewhere, in print or online. If your work is accepted by another publication, please notify us immediately and withdraw your submission from consideration.
  • Publication Rights: Upon acceptance, Bloodlust Magazine requests first publication rights. After publication, all rights revert to the author. We ask that any subsequent publication include a note acknowledging original publication in Bloodlust Magazine.
  • Withdrawal & Revisions: Authors may withdraw their submission at any time prior to acceptance. Authors will be given an opportunity to submit revisions before publication.
  • Liability & Responsibility: While every effort is made to preserve the integrity and intent of submitted work, Bloodlust Magazine is not responsible for any loss, claim, or dispute arising from submitted content, including copyright or permissions issues. Contributors are responsible for ensuring that all work submitted is original and does not infringe upon any third-party rights.
